Provides a boost of energy and feeling of heightened alertness.

A white, crystalline, bitter alkaloid, usually derived from coffee or tea: used in medicine chiefly as a nervous system stimulant.

I know, everyone out there is saying, don't mess with my caffeine.  I promise not to mess with it.  Just gonna say what everyone knows already.

Believe it or not, certain amounts of caffeine can have beneficial effects. Historically, small amounts of caffeine have been used to help control weight, alleviate pain, open up airways for improved breathing, and overcome chronic fatigue.

Excess caffeine intake can cause: Restlessness, irritablility, anxiety, heartburn, headaches, high blood pressure, sleeplessness, rapid heartbeat, nausea.
