Sucralose

A white, crystalline powder, produced synthetically from sucrose, about 600 times as sweet as sucrose but having no calories.

Benefits include; It's 600 times sweeter than sugar, says it's made from sugar, (I wonder if that's like the high fructose corn syrup is made from corn, hummm), zero calories, no dental issues, and this source says that it's safe.

Sucralose contains more than just sucralose when it is sold at your local stores–it’s made with dextrose, and sometimes with maltodextrin, neither of which were included in the original studies of sucralose.

There have been no long-term studies of the side effects of sucralose in humans, but the Splenda manufacturer’s own short-term studies showed that very high doses of sucralose shrank thymus glands, enlarged livers, and caused kidney disorders in rodents.

Some side effects include: Skin rashes, skin flushing, panic like agitation, dizziness, numbness, diahrea, swelling, muscle aches, headaches, intestinal issues, stomach cramping.
